Video- Ready or Not, Surfing with Diego in the Basque Country

I spent two summers Au-Pairing in the Basque Country, Northern Spain. It was a wonderful experience and I gained another little brother in Diego.

We'd hurry our way through English lessons in the morning, each making excuses to the other to skip pages and short-hand exercises. Our free time consisted of taking in the summer sunshine, sharing our love for waves and being outside. This is a surf we shared the day I was too nervous to open my third year university exam results, fearing failure. Spending time with a joyful child in the cleansing ocean put my worries aside until I gained the strength to look at the email! I'm forever grateful for those summers in Zarautz, forming relationships, flirting boldly with locals in broken Spanish, eating too much ice cream and leaving the pressure of my university degree to rest.
