About Me
Time to get close, to Chloë.
Journalling in paradise, Maui 2017.
Introduction
Bonjour, Buenas Dias compadres and comrades alike. I'm Chloë, and this is my blog.
I'm a young woman in the prime of my life, and I've finally pinned myself down, found the cure for procrastination and have started to collate my collected works.
The purpose of this blog is to serve as a portfolio of my writing, both professional and personal over the years.
Themes across this blog vary, from professional copywriting and content creation, to personal experiences with race and politics, to travel writing and poetry.
Writing is a part of me I'm just starting to rediscover. After enjoying English at school and college, I gave it up for my hard science degree. I learnt a lot about writing precisely and how to convey key points, but I had all creativity and passion squashed- there is no call for elaboration in Chemistry. Falling by accident into a content creation job, and starting to journal while travelling reminded me of how much I enjoy using language as a tool to understand my emotions, convey my beliefs, and as my means of expression.

About me
I'm a mix-matched mixed-race proud Cornishwoman. I've spent the majority of my life in Cornwall and my love for my home has shaped my entire life. The great love affair of my life has been with the ocean, and I generally live in a way that means I am always around it. I find my connection through surfing, swimming, sailing and stand up paddleboarding, and all of these activities bring me immense pleasure and are a cure-all for all bad moods and mental health blips.
I am a proud socialist and will never stop fighting for a fairer and more just, equal society. For me it is clear that the patriarchal capitalist society is responsible for all the major crises and inequalities of our time, and it is a battle I'm truly invested in, no matter what specific cause at the time.
I'm proud of who I am and what I believe in. I'm good to people and see the value and effects of it playing out in my life.
